Canadian chapters in action

At this time, our single most important goal with the Zeitgeist Movement is to spread the message of the Venus Project. The Venus Project represents what could be summarized as: ‘The application of The Scientific Method for social concern'.

Each and every chapter within the worldwide movement plays a critical role in spreading this message. The chapters of the Zeitgeist Movement are at the forefront.

The work of the chapters to expedite this message is best achieved at the local level. It is the local chapters in every city and town where the real actions takes place. Where people can get involved within their very own community.

Two main reasons for local chapters:

1) These chapters are a community presence. As the message continues to spread this local "presence" will become more vital. People will make that connection with "their" local Zeitgeist team.
2) These chapters are a gauge of the worldwide growth of the movement. Each time a new community chapter starts up this message becomes louder and louder.

So what is a chapter?

A chapter is a completely dedicated group of individuals that make it their mission to spread this message in their local city or town. The goal - to create the mass awareness that is so crucial to the realization and future of the Venus Project.

This dedicated group, which will typically consist anywhere from one or two to a handful of individuals, will make it their mission to seek out every opportunity to engage their local community. This can be achieved a number of ways. Community events and concerts, local community fairs and farmers markets, craft fairs, street festivals, this list is endless. Most towns and cities have dedicated locations for community groups to set up and spread their message. As a chapter, you want to locate these areas within your own community. Make it a monthly goal to set up at this dedicated location!

Along with your local chapter website, the most important tools for a local chapter is a tent, a couple of chairs and a table. That's it! Add in a few information flyers, copies of Zeitgeist the movie and Addendum and you will find that the public is very willing and eager to listen to what you have to say.

This is the first goal of the local chapters. To spread the message of the Venus Project and create the largest awareness campaign in history.
